Dr. Bill Greene is a retired physician who recently moved here from Myrtle Beach with his wife of 50 years, Mary Ellen. Through the encouragement of his wife (who is also a Rotarian at the Mt. Pleasant lunch club) Dr. Greene became a member of the Myrtle Beach Rotary Club in 2000, served as Club President for a term, and also served 3 years as the Rotary District Governor. That same year, he also committed to becoming a medical missionary to Haiti where he has performed surgery on 125 patients, and helped raise over 2 million dollars for the country which contributed to the completion of 2 major water/sanitation projects. These clean water projects have become a passion for Dr. Greene and we are very fortunate and excited he has brought that experience and knowledge to the Daniel Island Rotary Club with hopes he can help guide us with a potential new clean water project of our own. Welcome Dr. Greene!
