Camp Happy Days - Additional Info
Our Community Service and Grants committees have given Camp Happy Days a $1,000 grant in support of their FACT and Outpatient Tumor Clinic snacks and activity bags program.
Research has proven that pediatric cancer patients are able to better tolerate their follow-up outpatient treatment regimen if they are "distracted" during treatment. As such, Camp Happy Days provides snacks and activities for MUSC pediatric patients during these follow-up visits. The volunteer activity that we have before us is the assembly of these snacks and activity bags. The contents of the bags will be provided, and our job is to simply pack the bags.
6-8 volunteers are needed on Tuesday, December 17th at 10:00 am. It is anticipated that this activity will last no more than 2 and a half hours. If you are interested, please contact Tom Carroll at TomCarrollMBA@gmail.com.
