February 19 (DI Club) -- Deputy Tyzell Richardson, Deputy D. Bolton. Patrolling Daniel Island. Back in August 2016 we heard from Berkeley County Sheriff Duane Lewis. This morning we will hear from the two deputies who actually patrol our island. We met them briefly a few weeks ago when they joined us at one of our morning meetings. Perhaps they will clarify the duties of the Sheriff’s Office, versus the responsibilities covered by the City of Charleston Police Department. What are their biggest challenges on DI and throughout Berkeley County? Who do we call when a problem arises? The Sheriff’s Office? Or the City of Charleston Police Department?
