February 26 - Join Us for an Exclusive Tour at High Wire Distilling Company!
We saw many of the kegs of whisky from High Wire aging in their barrels when we visited the industrial area of the Navy Yard back in October. So why not visit their distillery on Huger Street downtown and sample some of their product? Their flagship spirit is Jimmy Red bourbon, which is made from 100% Jimmy Red corn, a magenta-hued grain grown for decades on nearby James Island. The distillery was founded by Scott Blackwell and Ann Marshall a husband/wife team who are serial entrepreneurs. They have worked as a pie makers, restaurateurs and coffee roasters. They sold their organic bakery to General Mills. Scott was also a finalist for the James Beard Foundation award for Outstanding Wine, Beer, or Spirits professional in 2019 and 2020.
