January 13 -- Wes Lyon, Allegiance Flag Supply. Ever try to buy an American flag lately? Was it poor quality? Did it deteriorate quickly? Did it wrap around the flagpole? Was it made in China? First time homeowners Wes and Katie Lyon and their friend Max Berry encountered just that problem. So they decided to take matters into their own hands and manufacture their own. They scoured the country for the highest quality materials, sewing processes, and accessories. They began operating out of a warehouse in North Charleston and now package and ship about 1,000 flags across the country each week.
